Clearview Township offers a unique rural Ontario experience and the best of small-town living. A great place to live in both good times and bad, the strength of this area has never been more evident than during the COVID-19 crisis. One particularly inspiring initiative is the Big Heart Food Box & Donations program that has been organized by Creemore volunteers with the goal of providing everyone in the community with contact-free access to high quality food while supporting Ontario’s farmers and producers. You can participate in the program by purchasing a food box from 100KM Foods. (www.100kmfoods.com).

Ordering is available online starting Fridays at noon and closing Sundays at midnight. Food boxes arrive Wednesdays and orders can be delivered to the doors of those who live locally (this is a free service, but donations are gratefully accepted with all proceeds used to provide food and services to neighbours in need). Alternatively, items can be picked up at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 22 Caroline Street W., Creemore between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Those interested can also donate directly by sending a cheque to St. Luke’s. During Week One – April 22, 34 orders and $2,047.00 in total purchases were received and $300 worth of food (which helped feed 23 people) was donated.
