The new Stayner Branch of the Clearview Public Library is a bright and beautiful community hub that offers greater accessibility to all residents. The 7,000 square foot library is located at 269 Regina Street, adjacent to the Stayner Community Centre and Arena. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Sunday and Monday.
Highlights of the facility include natural light and rural views from large windows; lower shelving and wider aisles for accessibility and comfort; lounge area with fireplace; children’s area; a new printer and lots of public computer access throughout; Tutorial and Group Study rooms with outlets and wireless internet access; and new materials.
COVID-19 safety protocols have been implemented including physically distanced computers and glass partitions. In accordance with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s mandate all patrons and staff are required to wear masks. Additionally, late fees have been waived for the remainder of 2020 and curbside service will continue to be offered.
